Film Screening & Discussion: The Fragile Return of the Lynx

A documentary evening dedicated to the discreet return of the lynx to our Ardennes forests, followed by discussions with specialists.

Film Screening & Discussion: The Fragile Return of the Lynx

On June 8, 2026, the Pays de Bouillon is organizing a screening and debate around the documentary The Fragile Return of the Lynx. Admission is free, but prior registration is mandatory. The exact location will be specified upon reservation.

This event is part of an effort to raise awareness about local biodiversity. The lynx, which disappeared from Belgium over a century ago, has been sporadically reappearing in the forest massifs of Gaume and Ardenne. The film documents this timid return and the challenges of coexistence between wildlife and human activities. A discussion with naturalists or conservation actors is expected to complement the screening.

If you're staying in the area in early June, this evening offers a great opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes of local wildlife. Plan for one and a half to two hours for the screening and debate. Remember to reserve your spot as soon as registration details are announced on the Pays de Bouillon website. To get there, allow about twenty minutes by car from our holiday cottages, depending on the chosen venue.
