On 14 October 2026, the Musée gaumais in Virton hosts a lecture devoted to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Ethe, a religious building that has long since disappeared from the Gaume landscape. Presented by Guido Hossey, the evening begins at 7:00 PM and forms part of the museum's cultural programme.

For several centuries, the church stood as the spiritual and architectural anchor of the community of Ethe. Its construction, successive alterations, and eventual disappearance tell the story of a village as much as of a building. Drawing on archives, architectural plans, illustrations and eyewitness accounts, Guido Hossey works to restore shape and substance to a structure no longer visible today.

The Musée gaumais sits in the heart of Virton, within easy reach of the holiday cottages scattered across the region. Arriving roughly fifteen minutes before the start allows you to settle comfortably and, time permitting, browse the exhibition halls while waiting for the first intervention.
