ARNO Exhibition: 175 Years of Gaume History at the Musée Gaumais

An anniversary exhibition in the heart of Virton to discover the history of ARNO, an iconic royal society of the region since 1851.

From May 22 to August 18, 2026, the Musée Gaumais in Virton is dedicating an exhibition to the 175 years of ARNO (Royal Archaeology of Namur and Oesling). This learned society, founded in 1851, has played a major role in the knowledge and preservation of Gaume heritage. The exhibition traces its journey through archives, objects and testimonies.

A dive into local memory

Installed in the elegant setting of the Musée Gaumais on rue d'Arlon, this exhibition is aimed at both regional history enthusiasts and visitors curious to understand the roots of Gaume. The collections presented bear witness to the work of generations of researchers and volunteers attached to their territory.
