Esch 2026 launches its cross-border cultural season

On 9 October 2026, Esch-sur-Alzette launches its cross-border cultural season. This opening marks the start of an artistic programme spanning several months throughout the region. The event brings together cultural stakeholders from Luxembourg, France, Belgium and Germany around a shared project.

This initiative builds on Esch 2022, European Capital of Culture, and showcases the cultural vitality of the Greater Region. The programme covers various artistic disciplines and involves several towns and villages on both sides of the borders. Families and contemporary art enthusiasts alike will find something to enjoy.

From Belgian Gaume, Esch is a 45-minute drive via Rodange. Check the official Esch 2026 website a few weeks before the opening to plan your visit and discover the highlights of this inaugural day.
