Torchlit night tour of Bouillon's medieval fortress

On 15 June 2026, Bouillon's fortress opens after dark for a guided torchlit tour. You'll walk through stone corridors lit only by flickering flames, immersed in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages and the tales of the Crusades. A theatrical route brings to life the characters who shaped this storied site.

Bouillon and its castle have overlooked the Semois valley since the 11th century. This night-time experience transforms the usual visit into something more intimate, away from the daytime crowds. It suits curious families as well as history enthusiasts seeking an authentic setting.

Wear sturdy shoes and bring a light jacket—June evenings can be cool at this elevation. Admission is €15 per person. From Gaume, Bouillon is less than 45 minutes via the N85 or N88, making it an easy evening outing without much planning.
