La Virtonnaise – Urban walk through the heart of Gaume's capital

This urban walk takes you through Virton, the capital of Gaume, renowned for its exceptional sunshine. The 6.7 km route is accessible to everyone and leads you through the town centre and its quiet neighbourhoods, witnesses to a rich historical past.
The trail alternates between cobbled streets, green spaces and viewpoints over the surrounding hills. Allow around 1.5 to 2 hours of leisurely walking to fully appreciate the local architecture, stone façades typical of the region, and shaded squares. The route is perfect for a family outing, with no particular difficulty.
We recommend walking in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the summer heat. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bottle of water. This stroll is enjoyable year-round, particularly pleasant in spring when Gaume's golden light enhances the old stonework.
