The Honey Trail: discovering nectar-rich plants
A 10 km route through the Gaume countryside to understand the work of bees and discover the Châtillon honey farm.

This educational 10 km circuit immerses you in the fascinating world of bees and honey. The route winds through fields and flowering meadows where you'll learn to identify nectar-rich plants: lime trees, acacias, clover and wildflowers that make Gaume honey so special.
The walk, suitable for all abilities, follows flat terrain and takes about 2.5 hours of actual walking. However, plan a full day if you wish to visit the Châtillon honey farm and take part in discovery workshops. Information panels along the route explain the essential role of pollinators in our ecosystem.
Spring and summer offer the most colourful spectacle, when the meadows are adorned with a thousand flowers. Remember to bring water and sun protection, as the route crosses several open areas. A wonderful way to combine nature walking with learning, ideal for curious families.
