An August Weekend of a Thousand Faces in the Gaume and Ardennes

There are summer Saturdays when the whole region seems to gather in the open air. In this first half of August 2026, the Gaume, Bouillon and the province of Belgian Luxembourg brim with things to do, blending heritage, flavours and music. Here, without any claim to completeness, is our little notebook of outings to savour over the coming days.

Bouillon Turns Back the Clock

There is no resisting the call of trumpets and banners: the Medieval Festival in Bouillon plunges you, on 8 August, into a reconstructed encampment with roaming performances. A fortress backdrop and an atmosphere that will delight young and old alike.

To carry the magic of the Bouillon region into the evening, the Hop Walk sets off between 6 and 8 pm, with six craft-beer tasting stops and, from 10.30 pm, a concert to round off the night in style.

Ruette, for the Length of a Festival

The heart of an authentic Gaume village beats to the rhythm of the arts with the La Rue et Toi Festival on 8 and 9 August. An artists' trail, concerts and gastronomy make up a multidisciplinary escape on a human scale, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Flavours and Delights of the Land

Food lovers will find their bliss in the forest of Saint-Hubert with the Gourmet Walk, a delicious route through a charming village in festive mood. And for a more musical note, the Apéro Troïka - The White Wolves will set the Saint-Mard bandstand alight on 8 August.

Make the Moment Last
