What to Do in the Gaume and Belgian Luxembourg Province: Our Favourite Outings for Mid-August 2026
Concerts, village festivals and unusual walks: discover our pick of the finest things to do in the Gaume and the Belgian Ardennes around 14 August 2026.

Summer is in full swing in the Gaume and the Ardennes
There are weeks when the region seems eager to offer everything at once. Mid-August 2026 is one of them: between the villages coming alive, the stages lighting up and the trails calling out for a leisurely wander, choosing is no easy task. Here is our selection, designed for those staying in the countryside and eager to taste the true soul of the Gaume and the Belgian Luxembourg Province.
A walk like no other
Let us begin with an experience that overturns the usual. The Guided walk: Nature and infrastructure, a (dis)concerting cocktail?! takes you, from 2pm to 5pm, in the footsteps of a blind guide accompanied by his dog Giza. A singular, deeply sensitive way to perceive the landscape differently, where listening and touch become your compass. An outing you will not forget.
When the villages celebrate
On 14 August, the region bursts into life. In Florenville, Florenville en fête rekindles the warm Gaume spirit in the heart of a charming town. A little further south, the Grande Fête de Saint-Mard celebrates its 70th anniversary from 14 to 18 August: Summer Party, the King of the Boudin, dances, concerts and a pétanque tournament — everything to keep the joy alive for several days.
Music under the stars
Music lovers will be spoilt too. Arlonfolies 2026 welcomes Médine + Lesley on 14 August, while the Rienne Tribute's Festival offers three live tributes that same evening to Florent Pagny, Guns N' Roses and more. A wonderful way to savour the gentle August nights.
Between two escapades, what could be more precious than a haven in which to set down your bags? Our cottages open their doors in the heart of this generous Gaume, so that every day of adventure ends with a true moment of rest. See you soon along our paths.
