Que faire en Gaume et en Ardenne belge à la mi-août 2026 : nos plus belles sorties

A Mid-August in Full Swing, Between Gaume and the Ardennes

There are weekends when the whole region seems to gather beneath the lime trees. Mid-August 2026 is one of them: villages come alive, marquees rise, and the evening air carries laughter across the meadows. Here is our selection, gathered with care for those staying with us and seeking the perfect balance between conviviality and discovery.

Saint-Mard Turns 70

The highlight of these days, the Grand Festival of Saint-Mard celebrates its 70th anniversary from 14 to 18 August. King of the Boudin, dances, concerts, a pétanque tournament and a photo exhibition: everything is here to taste the festive soul of the Gaume. The festivities kick off with a Summer Party under the marquee with ROMS, promising an unforgettable evening.

Florenville and Arlon Set the Tone

Just a few kilometres away, Florenville en fête invites you to rediscover the village spirit, while Arlonfolies 2026 welcomes Medine + Lesley for a musical evening in the heart of the province's capital.

Walking and Savouring

Lovers of gourmet walks will find their delight with the Longolarde Savoureuse, a 6 km hop-themed walk in Longlier dotted with six tastings. And on 15 August, head to the Saint-Léger Evening Flea Market, a perfect stroll between 5 and 10 pm in the soft glow of dusk.

Extending the Moment

What makes these days so precious is that they are best enjoyed without haste, a glass of local beer in hand, before returning to rest. Such is the charm of a stay in the Gaume: to savour the celebration, then find the calm of a place that feels like home. Gîtes-Gaume opens its doors to make this summer a memory that lasts.
