Saint-Mard Comes Alive
You simply can't miss the Grande Fête de Saint-Mard, which enlivens the village all weekend long. On Monday, pure conviviality takes centre stage with the folk dances and onion soup: a ceremony, traditional dances and an onion soup lovingly simmered at the CDJ hall. A warm immersion into the soul of the Gaume, where the simple joy of being together is still cherished.
Walk, Breathe, Savour
For lovers of wide-open spaces, nothing beats an aperitif walk through the Gaume villages, starting from Virton. Ten kilometres of rolling paths to explore on Sunday after your aperitif, letting yourself be carried by the gentle landscapes and the authenticity of the Gaume hamlets.
Culture and Laughter in Arlon
The town of Arlon buzzes to the rhythm of the Arlonfolies 2026. On Tuesday 18 August, be surprised by the improv match by l'Habérézina, a lively and spontaneous show where the performers' talent hits the mark with every line. An evening of guaranteed laughter.
A Musical Interlude
Music lovers will head to Vaux-sur-Sûre for a cello and organ concert, given on Tuesday 18 August at 8:00 pm by Organum Novum as part of the Villages et Orgues 2026 festival. A suspended moment, where the deep voices of cello and organ answer one another beneath the vaults of a village church.
