Que faire en Gaume et en Province de Luxembourg ? Nos sorties incontournables, août 2026

An August Week in the Colours of the Gaume

Summer stretches gently across our valleys, bringing that precious feeling that time slows down. Between local markets, exceptional concerts and village festivals, the week ahead invites you to savour the region at leisure. Here is our little notebook of outings, gathered along the footpaths and village squares.

Dance and Feast in Saint-Mard

Let's begin with a truly Gaume moment: the Grand Festival of Saint-Mard: folk dances and onion soup. A day where tradition comes alive, with ceremony, dancing and that famous onion soup shared in the warmest of company. There is no better way to feel the pulse of local life.

Laughter and Games in Arlon

The Roman city beats to the rhythm of Arlonfolies 2026. After the improv match by Habérézina, the evenings continue with a Pop Quiz hosted by Pascal Michel on 19 August, then the delightfully sharp show of Pierre Thevenoux, Life Coach on 20 August. The perfect way to brighten your summer evenings.

Sacred Music and Local Strolls

Lovers of fine acoustics will be swept away by the cello and organ concert in Vaux-sur-Sûre, on 18 August at 8pm, as part of the Villages and Organs festival. And for a gourmet escape, the Deux Ourthes Local Produce Market in Amberloup, on 20 August at the close of day, celebrates the products of our artisans.

In the Footsteps of Forgotten Mills

Finally, curious walkers will enjoy the guided walk In Search of the Lost Mills, following the Grand Ruisseau that once powered six mills in the Bouillon countryside.

And what if, between two outings, you set down your bags in the heart of the Gaume? Our holiday homes open their doors to prolong the gentle charm of these summer days.
