Que faire en Gaume et en Province de Luxembourg belge ? Nos sorties incontournables d'août 2026

The charm of late summer in the Gaume

There is, in this third week of August, a special softness over our valleys. Evenings stretch out, markets come alive, and the whole region seems to want to savour the last sparkles of summer. For you, travellers in search of authenticity, we have gathered a few gatherings not to be missed in the coming days.

Following the trail of water and nature

Lovers of heritage and open spaces will find their happiness around the Pays de Bouillon. The guided walk In search of the lost mills, along the great stream invites you to travel back in time, where six mills once sustained an entire village. On 21 August, another naturalist curiosity awaits with the Summer walk: the crayfish of Bellefontaine, narrated by Etienne D'Hoedt and followed by a convivial meal to extend the discovery.

Flavours and local produce

Gourmet delights reign this season. On 20 August, the Two Ourthes Local Produce Markets lay out their stalls in Amberloup, a summer staple where you can meet local producers and artisans. Food lovers should also not miss the 15th Gourmet Walk through the village farms on 21 August: a lovely stroll punctuated by aperitif, soup and tastings from farm to farm.

Laughter and shows in Arlon

Finally, the Arlonfolies are in full swing. On 21 August, let yourself be swept into the humour-filled investigation of Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of the Four, a theatrical moment perfect for rounding off a beautiful day with family or friends.

What if you turned these escapades into the thread of a longer stay? Setting down your bags in one of our Gîtes-Gaume means treating yourself to the luxury of returning each evening to a peaceful haven, ready to set off on new adventures at dawn. The Gaume awaits you.
