Red deer bellowing, right on your doorstep

This is the moment nature lovers wait all year. On Friday 25 and Saturday 26 September, the Deer Rutting Walks guide you through Gaume's forests at dusk to hear the magnificent roars of stags echoing between the beeches. Meet at 7:45 p.m. by the sports hall, led by Dominique Noël and Benoît Bailleux. Bring sturdy boots, a warm layer, and sharp ears.

Bouillon by night, told through taste

The same evening, the Castle of Bouillon Evening Visit turns a thousand-year-old fortress into a candlelit feast: four stops, four local dishes, history projected on cold medieval stone. You will not find this anywhere else.

Willow and wit in Montquintin

Deep in the Gaume, the 11th Annual Willow Weaving Festival turns the tiny village of Montquintin into an open-air workshop. Try your hand at baskets Friday and Saturday, join a music quiz in the evening, and on Sunday watch artisans twist willow and osier the way grandfathers once did. Full programme.
